Short Business Description: The Spiritual Center for Positive Living (SCPL) was started in 1999 to fill the growing need of a Spiritual Center in El Dorado County that was an expansive, hip, vibrant spiritual community. SCPL quickly became a place where Deepak Chopra and Oprah would visit if they came to town! The Center began as a “church in a box” for two years meeting weekly at a community center, library and high school, volunteers setting up chairs and a sound system. In 2001, SCPL found a home in Cameron Park, starting with a sanctuary and small office. In 2010, Rev. Dr. Pattie Weber became SCPL’s Senior Minister and led the way into their second home in Cameron Park in 2013. In 2018 SCPL made a move to El Dorado Hills to begin a new chapter for SCPL! Rev. Dr. Pattie Weber is an outstanding, charismatic, gifted speaker. She demonstrates joy and authenticity, and has an ability to captivate, energize, inspire and empower change in people lives. Affectionately called Dr. Joy, her talks express her witty humor and deep spiritual path. In 2013 - 2016 she received honorable mention in the “Best Spiritual Leader” category in El Dorado County’s Style Magazine. SCPL is a special Spiritual Center, known for its dynamic music, its joy, and its solid foundation of high consciousness teaching. At SCPL, hundreds of people have found a Spiritual Center that honors the love, power and presence of God within us. SCPL is the Center where people get serious on their spiritual journey and find like minded friends with whom to share time and transformation. It’s a place where you can hear teachings from the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, A Course In Miracles, Science of Mind, Self Realization and Buddism, as part of the wisdom taught in classes, seminars and Sunday talks. Not easily defined or put in a box, SCPL is a powerful Transdenominational, Interfaith, New Thought Center… a gathering place for spiritual seekers who wish to grow together and expand their consciousness and make lasting changes in their life. All are welcome!
